I own an Apple iPOD shuffle 1GB MP3 player.

Since it had been giving me some virus trouble, i formatted the whole thing. It deleted a file named "iPOD control" from its memory. And now the player doesnt play any of the songs i copy into it.
Is there any site from where i can download this so called "iPOD control" directory which can possibly make my ipod work again???

MusicMatch was the best MP3 player in the history of MP3 players. That was the case until Yahoo! bought the company and totally ruined the product. Today, 6 years later you can't find MusicMatch any longer. It's a shame that any company can do that to a competitors product. I think it was their plan all along. And all it cost them was $160,000,000.

Here's my problem:

When I connect the Onyx MP3 to my laptop computer, it looks like it connects because the menu comes up, but when I click on 'Add Files', it says 'the trial version of this product has expired'. Also, there seems to be no other way to drag music I have downloaded into the Windows Media Player to synch it, because Windows Media Player just doesn't come up at all. What exactly is the problem here? Has anyone else had this problem?

i just bought an innovative technologies ITMP-505 mp3 player. i can load music on the mp3 player i can plug it into my car sterio and listen to the music on it like that. but when i try to listen to the fm radio or the music using just the mp3 player it gos to the loading screen and stays there.

okay so today i was out in the snow with my friends and my phone fell and got snow on it, (its happened before and been totally fine) and a few hours later i find my phone off and when i turn it on my mp3 player screen and normal screen start switching rapidly and all the buttons are messed up and random buttons open up random screens but my white indicator thing is totally fine. I have a phillips gogear mp3 player and I am running visa on my pc I ve got some music files on my computer and want to transfer them to my player but when I try all I get is the computer wanting to transfer files from the player and will not allow me to reverse the process so could any one out in cyberland help me?

I bought DVDs that came with the digital copies so that I could put them on my daughter's mp3 player only to find out that her new mp3 player won't play them. I have the movies loaded onto my computer but can't sync them onto the player. I am going to exchange the player and I think this pink 8 gb walkman can ply these movies, but I just want to make sure before I buy it.

I was snowboarding last week and using my Env Touch as my MP3 player. I could only get it to play a song or less and it would shut off. Very frustrating. Anybody else have this problem? If so how did you get it fixed?

My Sansa Fuze 4gb MP3 player has suddenly stopped working. I own two of them and the other is still working fine. I charge them both via the same cable and one acts normally, charges, and syncs with my computer. The other turns on only when plugged in. It then says "connected", followed shortly by "writing", followed shortly again by "connected". This is what it is normally supposed to do, however, it does not charge the battery at all, and it is not visible to my computer. The USB does not recognize it, either. I am just wondering if there is anything that anyone knows that can shake this unit out of its funk. I have tried the standard restart, as well as switching the usb port that it is plugged into. However, I do not believe that the USB is the problem, because it works fine with my other Sansa. Thanks in advance for any assistance you all can give me!

I'm going to get a phone probably next week. i really like the motorola hint , but i read some reviews and most of the cons were "not a good texting phone and bad calling phone" i don't really care about the calling issue because i don't like talking over the phone; however, i am very concern about texting because i like texting. so if you have a motorola hint please give me some cons and pros or which phone should i get that is suitable for texting and has an mp3 player. by the way, that is another reason to why i want that phone since i lost my ipod ans i cannot live without music

Ive tried multiple times to change my default media player from Windows Media Player back to iTunes but whenever i try and play an MP3 from outside of itunes, Windows Media Player is opened up. It seems i can't uninstall windows media player. MP3 files in my itunes library play fine from itunes but when accessed from their folder open up Windows Media Player. All MP3s have Windows media player's icon instead of iTune's icon and MP3s cannot be imported into iTunes. How can I fix this?

A pop-up box came up. It said I already have a folder called "Music". My question is, Where is that folder?

Three days ago my mothers computer stopped working. I have never used Windows Media Library in my life, so it's foreign to me. Is there a way I can set up a separate library on my computer so that my mother will be able to have someplace she can have her songs until I can ghost her HD and put the new drive into her computer?

I keep plugging my MP3 in the usb and Windows Media player 11 and Rhapsody both say they can find a device.

The weird thing is, that my sister and I both have MP3's and the comp cant fid the device when we connect it to the usb

but my other sister has an I-pod, and the comp recognizes her device just fine

Im trying to load some songs onto my mp3 player. My mp3 player lists them by artist/album etc.. but a few of my songs are listed as "unknown", they aren't grouped by artist/album. How can i edit those details in linux?

If one uses the SD card to remove photos from the phone onto the computer, could you do that in reverse with music? Take the SD card, save the music from your computer onto the SD card and place the SD card back into the phone. That way you wont have to use the cricket add-on and save money.?

I just bought a laptop for the first time and I need to transfer my windows media library from my windows xp desktop to my new windows 7 laptop. Ive tried everything I know I can do such as plugging in my mp3 player (not an ipod), putting the music on flash drives and trying to transfer them that way, and nothing has been working correctly with the windows media player 12 pre-installed on my laptop. I'm trying to import some songs from my cd's onto my ipod. I can either rip them from Windows Media Player, or Itunes. If I import them from Itunes, it sounds awful.. If I import them from Windows Media Player, it imports them and makes them into a .wma format. I then have to import the files to my itunes player so that I can sync it to my ipod.. itunes has to convert them from wma to mp3, and they still sound like crap.. what can i do?

I need some suggestions on a software package which can RIP the audio track out of various format video files to an MP3 file for use on an audio only MP3 player. The manual state that all you have to do is turn the unit on and plug it into my computer's usb port. However, I have done this several times and it doesn't charge. I just bought this device and it has received no trauma or ill-treatment since it has came out of the package. This is the 180BL 8GB version. Also, if anybody has any insight into this situation; does anybody know if there are any different firmware versions available anywhere? This thing was terrible to figure out, and takes some time to maneuver in.

I got a new mp3 player yesterday and I think its called walkmen or something, its black and has a weird w looking thing. My iPod died and a lot of my music on my computer is in mp4 format. We don't have much money and regular Mp3 players are cheaper so...yeah...

I have a Sansa Sandisk MP3 player... i call it an MP3 simply because it is not Apple Ipod brand. But i have had it for about 2 years now, it has scratches on the back from it being in bags, and the screen is a mess because i cant find the clear screen protectors for it. But my real question was how much longer will it last me? - cuz im looking into and 8gb ipod touch (i would buy it a case and keep the protector on it!) and i was curious if i should start saving my money for it now, or not.. Well Where do I began, First off when ever somebody calls me it shows the MP3 background on the outer screen. I have changed Incoming calls countless times. When Ever I do change it, it resets my MP3 player ringtone and I have to go back and change it. Is that what is messing up the phone. Because I had to rename my MP3 player so the phone would think its a video. Also I have a 1GB Memory card for it and I am told those are suppose to hold like 250 songs and when I put some songs on there not all of them go into my MP3 player. I really like this phone but I am having so many troubles with it. HELP
