Voting Question: Plz help me to choose mp3 player.....?

I have a budget of Rs.2500/- I wanna buy a mp3 player (no need of Video).
I like products of Creative. But somebody says apple iPod is better.
I don't want any Sony product.
What should I do ???? I live in India.
I want at least 1GB of memory But Best sound quality. Can U suggest any more companies. But plz give specifications and its price.
