Voting Question: Creative Zen Nano Plus problem?

My Creative Zen nano plus 1GB mp3 player doesn't seem to want to accept any song. I haven't plugged it into a computer to put songs on it for almost 2 years now. And now i can't seem to put any songs on it. Everytime i drag and drop onto the MP3's storage the transfer window "place where i dragged and dropped/pasted" the files will freeze. Does this mean my MP3 player is busted and i need to get a new one?

It's a flash MP3 player. Not a Harddrive one. Please suggest how to fix it. I have already tried reformatted and it doesn't help at all.
