Resolved Question: What do I do with disks that shrink?
On a desktop harddrive and now an mp3 player....both devices mucked up while formatting them. The 80gb hard drive is only recognized as around 30gb now. The 8gb mp3 player is only recognized as a 1.3gb device now. What can I do to correct this kind of errors?
By the way, I'm more interested in the mp3 player which has no support as far as I know, it's from Hong Kong, rofl.
"and are you sure the hard drive is 80 gb? if it is, then your computer is reading it incorrectly of it was installed incorrectly."
Yes it WAS, and of course I'm sure. I was adjusting partitions and the computer crashed. The next time I looked at the harddrive it was completely different. It has no free space and only one mucking small partition.
if it is, then your computer is reading it incorrectly of it was installed incorrectly.
Alright, that means it read incorrectly on both my windows xp (32bit) and windows 7 (64bit) computers......thanks for that amazing help......
